Harman Kardon - My Onyx Bluetooth speaker stopped working after 13 months
I contacted their customer support and spoke with one of their customer service reps (Jed). I was pleasantly surprised that he seemed to care and provide some insight on the issues HK was having with their batteries and indicated that I would be receiving some sort of support.
He even sent me an email with the steps to try to reset the speaker along with directions to respond back to the customer service group if it did not work. The reset did not work, the product stopped working at 13 months - one month after the warranty expired. I got around to contacting them in September, two months after the warranty expired. I sent an email to Jed telling him how the recommended reset did not work.
He did not respond to me, instead I heard from another person in their "Customer Service" department stating that they would not help and then giving me a list of repair locations 30 miles from my house! Why should I waste more money on a product that does not work after only 13 months? Why would I put more money in a product that HK will not support? Why would I spend more money on a product HK knows has a quality issue with and will not fix.
I will not. I would strongly recommend not buying anything form a company the not only sells a product with quality issues, but also a company that does not back up any implied commitments from their customer service team.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
